  • 15 cm glass globe: light reflects inside the globe and spreads softly.
  • Light set by the bulb: an E27 holder; the bulb you fit decides warm or white tone.
  • Two metal tones: gold looks warm and bright, silver modern and simple.

The Sera Glass Globe Wall Sconce pairs a gold or silver metal body with a 15 cm glass globe, suiting both modern and classic interiors. Light reflects inside the globe and spreads around it; switched off, the sconce still reads as an object on the wall. Unlike the acrylic LED sconces, it takes a single E27 bulb.

Highlights

  • 15 cm glass globe: light reflects inside the globe and spreads softly.
  • Light set by the bulb: an E27 holder; the bulb you fit decides warm or white tone.
  • Two metal tones: gold looks warm and bright, silver modern and simple.
  • Small base: the 10 cm base takes little wall space while the globe projects forward.

Where to use it

  • Bedside: a symmetrical pair either side of the bed.
  • Console and mirror: metal and glass detail either side of a mirror.
  • Hallway: a calm welcome light at the entrance.
  • Living room: a decorative wall light above a sofa.
  • Around a TV unit: a complementary light at the side of the unit.

For a narrow corridor or walkway choose a slim LED sconce; for a wall with space in front, Sera fits better.

Gold or silver? Matching Sera to your interior

  • Gold body: walnut bedside tables, cream walls and brass handles; with a warm bulb, a cosy corner.
  • Silver body: grey and white walls with chrome; with a white bulb, a clean look.
  • Classic interiors: gold stands out beside a carved mirror and velvet armchair.
  • Modern interiors: silver balances a straight-lined console and marble effect.

To carry the same gold or silver onto a larger wall, see the bubbled acrylic rods of Matrix 8.

How to install

  1. Choose the spot: Sera projects 24 cm, so pick a point clear of walkways with space in front. By a bed, the centre usually sits 120–150 cm from the floor.
  2. Switch off the breaker: the sconce connects to the wall wiring; have a qualified electrician do it.
  3. Check the wall: scan for cables and pipes before drilling.
  4. Fit the bulb: once the base is connected and fixed, fit a suitable E27 bulb and test the light.
  5. Cleaning: switch off, let the bulb cool and wipe the globe with a soft cloth.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the light colour of the Sera Glass Globe Wall Sconce?

The E27 bulb you fit decides the light colour. For a warm look in bedrooms and living rooms choose a warm-toned bulb; for a crisper look in hallways and around mirrors, a white-light bulb.

How far does the Sera Glass Globe Wall Sconce project from the wall?

Sera is 24 cm deep, so the globe projects that far. It works well where there is space in front, such as by a bed, console or sofa. In narrow corridors or behind doors, consider LED sconces 4–5 cm deep.

Can I connect the Sera Glass Globe Wall Sconce myself?

Sera connects to the wall wiring and has no battery option. We recommend a qualified electrician for the connection, switching off the breaker before work and checking the wall for cables and pipes before drilling.

Can I use the Sera Glass Globe Wall Sconce as a pair?

Yes. Two Sera sconces either side of bedside tables, a mirror or a console create symmetry. Choose the same body colour, fit bulbs of the same tone and measure equally from the centre of the object between them.
