This English version is provided for information. In case of any discrepancy between the Turkish and English versions, the Turkish version prevails.
This policy explains the cookies and similar records stored in your browser on the backhome.com.tr website operated by BACKHOME ELEKTRONİK TASARIM SANAYİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, their purpose and how to manage your preferences. General information on the personal data processed through these records is in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a site you visit places in your browser. Our site and our infrastructure provider also write records that serve the same purpose as cookies to your browser’s local storage. On this page, both are referred to together as “cookies and similar records”.
2. Types we use
- Strictly necessary: Needed for the site to work, for your basket, your member session, security and remembering your cookie preference. They cannot be switched off and do not depend on your permission.
- Platform measurement: Our e-commerce infrastructure provider ikas carries out site measurement for the operation of the site and store statistics. This measurement runs independently of your cookie preference: visitor, session and browsing IDs are written to your browser; the page visited, the previous page, products and categories viewed, search terms, add-to-basket actions and basket contents, checkout steps and order information are sent to ikas. If you are logged in, these records are linked to your member ID and email address.
- Functional: Our infrastructure remembers your recently viewed products and your email subscription in your browser. These records are also written independently of your preference.
- Analytics and marketing (only with your permission): At the date of this text, there is no tool on our site that uses analytics or marketing cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). If such a tool is added, it will run only with your permission, it will be listed by name on this page and you will be asked for your preference again.
The fonts on our pages are loaded from Google’s servers (Google Fonts). No cookie is written to your browser in this process; however, your IP address and browser information are sent to Google.
3. Records used on the site

In the table, __cf_bm is a cookie; the others are records in your browser’s local storage. At the payment step, ikas’s payment page and the payment institution may use their own technical cookies for the security and operation of the service; these cookies are subject to the relevant provider’s policy. The photo you upload to the See it in your room tool is not sent to our servers.
4. Managing your preferences
The cookie banner shown on your first visit to the site offers the Accept, Reject and Preferences options with equal prominence. Analytics and marketing cookies are switched off by default; they are switched on only if you choose. If you choose Reject, only the strictly necessary records and the infrastructure records described above run.
You can change your preference at any time, and withdraw any permission you have given, via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page. Your preference is stored for 6 months; when this period expires or the tools we use change, you will be asked again.
You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary records, the basket, login and checkout steps may not work. Menu names may vary by version:
- Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies / Clear browsing data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Safari (macOS): Safari › Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
- Safari (iOS): Settings › Safari › Clear History and Website Data.
- Android Chrome: Chrome › Settings › Site settings › Cookies.
5. Your personal data and your rights
Your personal data processed through cookies and similar records is processed as explained in the Privacy Notice (KVKK); consent for analytics and marketing cookies is described in the Explicit Consent Statement. For questions, you can write to [email protected] or contact us on 0533 680 06 85.
6. Changes
This policy is updated when the tools we use or the legislation change; the current version is published on this page with its update date. When a new analytics or marketing tool is added, it is listed by name on this page and you are asked for your preference again.
