This Privacy Policy explains in plain language what information we collect when you visit the backhome.com.tr website operated by BACKHOME ELEKTRONİK TASARIM SANAYİ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“BACKHOME”, “we”) or buy products from us, what we use it for and how we protect it. Details of the legal grounds and of your rights are in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

1. In brief

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not see or store your card details.
  • The photo you upload to the See it in your room tool is processed only in your browser and is not sent to us.
  • Promotional messages are sent only with your consent; analytics and marketing cookies run only with your permission.
  • We share your data only with the business partners needed for the service, and only as far as necessary.

2. Information we collect

2.1. Information you give us

  • Membership: name and surname, email, phone, password (stored in irreversible form).
  • Orders and invoices: delivery and billing address, Turkish national ID number or tax office and tax number where required for the invoice, order contents and amount.
  • Personalised products: the name, text or logo you want to appear on products such as doorbells.
  • Contact: the information and photos you send via the contact form, WhatsApp, email, phone or social media messages.
  • Returns and warranty: reason for return, product and damage photos, IBAN for refunds by bank transfer/EFT.
  • Preferences: your commercial message consent and your cookie preference.

2.2. Information collected when you use the site

  • IP address, browser and device type, operating system.
  • Through site measurement by our infrastructure provider ikas: the pages you visit, the products you view, search terms, basket and checkout steps.
  • Session and transaction logs kept for security purposes.

2.3. Information we do not collect

Your card number, expiry date and security code are not seen or stored by us; payment is processed on the payment institution’s secure infrastructure. The room or wall photo you upload to the See it in your room tool does not leave your device. We do not request special categories of personal data such as health, biometric data, religion or political opinion.

3. How do we use the information?

  • To receive, prepare and ship your order and track its delivery.
  • To prepare personalised products according to the details you provide.
  • To issue invoices and fulfil legal obligations.
  • To answer your questions about products, installation and orders.
  • To handle return, exchange, warranty and fault processes.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
  • To send promotional and announcement messages if you give consent.

4. Who do we share the information with?

Your information is shared only as far as necessary to provide the service, with the following parties: our e-commerce infrastructure provider ikas, the payment institution and banks, the carrier, e-invoice and accounting service providers, WhatsApp (Meta) if you write to our WhatsApp line, Google for fonts when pages are opened, the Commercial Electronic Message Management System (İYS) and public authorities authorised by law. 5. Cookies

Our site uses strictly necessary cookies and the measurement and functional records of our infrastructure provider. At the date of this text, there is no tool on our site that uses analytics or marketing cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). If such a tool is added, it will run only with your permission, it will be listed by name on this page and you will be asked for your preference again. Which record is used for what, and how to manage your preferences, are explained in the Cookie Policy.

6. Retention period

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it is processed and for the retention periods required by law (e.g. information and documents relating to orders for 3 years, invoice records for 5 years). When the period expires, the information is deleted, destroyed or anonymised. Details are in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

7. Security

  • Site traffic is encrypted with SSL/TLS.
  • Membership passwords are stored in irreversible form on the ikas infrastructure.
  • Card details are processed only on the payment institution’s secure infrastructure.

No method provides absolute security. We recommend that you do not share your password with anyone and that you log out on shared devices. If we learn that your data has been obtained by unauthorised persons, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Board and you, as required by Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).

8. Your rights

Under Art. 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to request information about your data and the rights to correction, erasure and objection. The application methods are in the Privacy Notice (KVKK); you can also write your requests to [email protected].

9. Commercial messages

Promotional and announcement messages are sent only if you have given consent in advance, and consent records are entered in İYS. You can withdraw your consent free of charge at any time using the opt-out link in each message, through İYS or by writing to us. Details are in the Commercial Electronic Message Consent Statement. Order, shipping and invoice notifications are not commercial messages.

10. Children’s privacy

Our site is not intended for persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we notice that such a record has been created, we delete it.

Our site may contain links to other services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and our marketplace stores. When you click these links, the relevant service’s own privacy terms apply.
