This statement explains the consent you may optionally give for us to send you commercial electronic messages about our promotions and announcements, and how you can withdraw this consent. Legal basis: Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce and the Regulation on Commercial Communications and Commercial Electronic Messages.

1. Sender of the messages

If you give consent, commercial electronic messages about BACKHOME’s promotions, new products and announcements may be sent to the contact address for which you gave consent. The content of the messages is limited to this scope.

Your consent is limited to the channel stated in the box you ticked:

  • Box on the membership form and the My Account page: the channel stated in the box (email; also SMS if you tick it separately),
  • Newsletter form: email,
  • Box on the checkout page (when shopping without membership): email.

You give consent by ticking the optional box on the relevant form. The boxes are not pre-ticked. Giving consent is not a condition for shopping or becoming a member. The consent record holds your name and surname, the contact address for which you gave consent, and the date and place of the consent.

4. Commercial Electronic Message Management System (İYS)

Consent and opt-out records are entered in İYS as required by law; we do not send you commercial electronic messages based on consent that has not been recorded in İYS. You can also view and manage your consent and opt-out preferences through İYS (iys.org.tr or e-Devlet).

You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge and without giving any reason:

  • Using the opt-out link or method included in every message we send,
  • Through İYS,
  • If you are a member, by unticking the permission box on the My Account page,
  • By writing to [email protected] or notifying us via our WhatsApp line (0549 123 46 23).

We stop sending messages no later than 3 working days after your opt-out notice reaches us.

Information relating to your order, delivery, invoice and membership is not a commercial message and is sent regardless of your consent. Withdrawing your consent does not stop these notifications.

7. Personal data and retention of records

Information on the personal data processed under your consent is in the Privacy Notice (KVKK) and the Explicit Consent Statement. Consent records are kept for 3 years after the consent ceases to be valid, and other records relating to messages for 3 years from the date of the record.
